We’ve decided to dig out the walking boots for a Spring pub walk, and we’d like to invite you to join us on Saturday 28th April.
We’re planning to meet in the pub at 9.30am for tea, coffee and bacon butties on us, before heading off for the walk at 10am.
The route follows a long stretch of the Grand Union Canal, with boatlife and birdlife galore, before heading up into the nearby hills for the return leg through beautiful countryside. The perfect outing for all of the family. Dogs and children are most welcome to join us, there might be the odd muddy patch so don’t forget the wellies!
After the walk we’ll meet back at the pub (around 12 noon) for a well-deserved beer or two and a spot of lunch if you fancy.
If you’d like to join us please call us on 01442 879590 so we can get an idea of how large a pot of tea to put on!
There’s a long weekend on its way. Whether you choose one of our freshly prepared seasonal dishes or a drink from our new list. Gather your friends and family and pop down to see us. And if the weather lets us down, we can still drink as if it’s summer and pretend. We’d love you to join us, book a table.
Meet The Brewer
For us, the ingredients for a great village pub have always been a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the bar at its heart and food in its soul. A big part of this is a decent line-up of real ales; so with this in mind we’d like to invite you to join us on Thursday 24th May from 7pm for a bit of ‘adult education’ and Meet The Brewer with one of our favourites – Tring Brewery.
Jared from the brewery will be on hand to share his insights into the brewing process and most importantly giving us the chance to taste our way through his fantastic beers. We’ll also be distributing accompanying nibbles to soak up the beer!
There are no tickets or charges for the evening, just call us on 01442 879590 so we can get an idea of numbers, and don’t forget to reserve a table in our eatery if you would like to join us for a spot of pre or post beer tasting dinner.
Another long weekend is on its way. Join us for lunch or dinner and enjoy one of our freshly prepared seasonal dishes or a drink from our list. Gather your friends and family and pop down.
